Christmas

Christmas

Today is Christmas day and I think I have done a total of 5 posts in the last two months. It is not for the lack of love for blogging it's simply that I want to produce high quality content. I have been taking photos and they just never seem good enough. However I just want you to know that I am still around and I have big plans and ideas moving into the new year.

As you may have read in my previous post I was meant to be in Austria with my family but unfortunately that didn't pan out and I'm at home celebrating with my husband and cat. My family are now coming to the UK on boxing day and I cannot wait! I will be taking some lifestyle photos of their stay and will be posting them up on here so please check that out!

I wish you all an amazing and safe Christmas! xx

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Christmas

It's that time of the year again when we put up our trees, eat and drink more than we should and spend money we don't necessary have yet we all have the best time doing it. I am very blessed this year and will be spending Christmas with my family (who are flying over from New Zealand) in Austria. My husband and I leave on the 19th of December which sadly means there is no point in putting up a Christmas Tree as we don't return until the 2nd of January. We also haven't been going crazy on the Christmas present front, in fact my husband and I have a pack that we are not buying each other presents this year and we are keeping other family members presents very simple (aka cheap).

I know there is more to Christmas than presents and decorations but I do believe it plays impact in your festive cheer. Due to chopping these things out I just haven't been getting into the Christmas cheer which is completely out of character for me. In a desperate state to get into the festive mood I have changed up my make up to fit the theme.

You all know by now my absolute love for Charlotte Tilbury make up and Red Carpet red has been non-stop on my lips. Teaming the lipstick with the Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita palette screams Christmas! On days when I want to wear a nude lip I have been using the Rimmel Kate Rose Gold Eye Shadow Stick and I really can't get enough of this. The shadow is super creamy and easy to blend out so you can get away wearing it during the day. OPI Danke-Shiny Red is everything that I love in a red nail polish. It is a deep red with an amazing subtle glitter running through it. Everytime I wear this I get so many compliments.

I have been really getting into reading books and I have never read a Christmas book before so this year I want to give it a go! I haven't read any of it yet so I will let you know my thoughts when I've finished. While I'm curled up reading my Christmas book I love to smell nice and my favourite perfume at the moment is YSL Black Opium. It is a warm vanilla scent which some people find very sweet but I absolutely adore it!

What are your favourite things to do for Christmas?
