I'm sure everyone has heard of this foundation and I'm sure you are all sick of all the reviews about it on the internet however I feel like I need to add my two cents worth. I purchased Nars Sheer Glow with high hopes as all the reviews I read raved and raved and raved about it. I first tried it in winter, while I liked it I never had the 'wow this is amazing' impression about it. I tried it without primer, with primer, during the day and during the night. I have to admit it is 'okay' for a night time foundation and in the day it would sometimes fade and patch on me. It wasn't until I tried it in the summer that my hate for it grew. I was shopping with some friends and went to top up my lipstick and noticed this foundation had caked all around my chin and nose! It was absolutely awful I felt so self conscience about it that I made a made dash to the Selfridges beauty hall to purchase a new foundation and asked the girls there to take off all the foundation I was wearing and replace with the new one.

What a beautiful post! Great photos! Bummed this product didn't work well for you but you're honesty is wonderful! Thanks for stopping by my blog and spreading a little love! Keep up the great job on yours! xoxo, Carla

It's such a shame that this didn't work out for you, maybe it will be one to re-visit in the winter again. At least you have a new one now that works better for you.

I will definitely give it another go! Yes the bare minerals one is so much nicer for my skin :D

What a shame it didn't work out for you! I love this foundation (though I do remember not being into it at first!) however I have combination skin so the satin finish works really well xx

I can only wear this one in winter, and it works best for me if I apply with my fingers and then really REALLY buff it into my skin using a short stipple brush. Doesn't give much coverage but it at least doesn't slide around my face! ^.^ I'm glad you're back into blogging! xx
ReplyDeleteThose are some good tips! I'll give that a go to see if that will stop it caking on me. It's so lovely to be back into blogging! I really missed it!!
